Lanolin allergies can commonly be misidentified as wool allergies. Most wool is naturally coated in lanolin, which provides it with its water shedding ability. Angora wool is collected from Angora rabbits, which do not have the same glands as sheep and therefore their wool lacks the lanolin coating commonly found in sheep’s wool.
